At IH Meat Packer Co., Ltd.'s lairage pens (Towada Pork Plant and Towada Beef Plant, which began operation in April 2024), drinking water facilities are installed so that pigs and cattle can drink water at all times, and we strive to treat them with care and create an appropriate environment. (By 2024, we have fully equipped all domestic lairage pens within our group with drinking water systems.) Additionally, the processing facilities at the Towada Beef Plant have obtained certification as meat export facilities compliant with U.S. and EU standards by May 2025.
